My rehearsal tomorrow is cancelled. My time slot got moved, which caused some of my actors to not be able to attend rehearsal, so we will no longer be having one. Two rehearsals left! I'm nervous.

The blocking is finally done! We finished it in rehearsal today, and I'm excited to get started with full run throughs on Saturday.
I've been doing a project for another class where I find inspiring and uplifting quotes, and in doing this, I found a quote relevant to my play. Audrey Hepburn once said, "Nothing is impossible. The word itself says'I'm possible.'" I've been freaking out because I don't have the blocking done, but this quote makes me feel like I can do it, and the play will be okay.
I knew that it was likely to happen at some point, but I was definitely hoping that it wouldn't. I had to cancel today's rehearsal because I went home sick. Finishing blocking will now happen on Thursday.
We created my set in class, and I'm really excited to use it during rehearsals so that the actors can have more firm blocking. We are going to finish blocking the rest of the play during rehearsal tomorrow.
I found some more music for my show today! I can't wait to see how it all plays out!
Finally found a way to get my actress that plays David to sound like a guy. Who'd have thought that telling her to talk like Santa would work?!
"Fear of the storm is usually worse than the storm itself."
This quote is incredibly relevant to hurricane Irma in Marietta. Everyone was freaking out over the coming tropical storm, but in Marietta, we only got rain and strong winds. It also applies to my play because I was so scared about rehearsals going awfully and the cast not getting along, but in reality, it is going much better than I feared. "If someone calls you smart, you should simply smile and nod. If someone calls you wise, then you should take great pride, as wisdom is the application of knowledge versus simply regurgitating facts."
While I agree that there is more pride in being wise than being smart, I do not believe that wisdom is simply the application of knowledge and facts. I believe that wisdom is the acquisition of one's actions and opinions based on past experience, whether that gave them factual knowledge, emotional depth, or a variety of other things. Being wise is not always using the facts that you know, but sometimes using the experiences that you've had to know that you should do nothing. I'm still having a bit of trouble with one of my actors. She's having a hard time developing her character as a girl, and I have one who's having a hard time developing her character as a boy. Hopefully some of the exercises I've found will help me with this.
